Take action

Turn solidarity
into pressure.

Ask Treasurer John Thurston for no new Israel Bonds, no renewals, and no reinvestment.

Organize together

One conversation.
A shared next step.

Bring people together
around the demand.

Set aside ten minutes with friends or your group. Read Marwa’s account and the Palestinian call for divestment on The issue page, then discuss:

  • Why does Palestinian freedom call on us to act here?
  • Will we ask Treasurer Thurston together for no new purchases, no renewals, and no reinvestment?
  • Who will make contact, who will follow up, and when will we compare the responses?

Leave with one agreed action, someone to carry it forward, and a date to meet again.

The demand also applies to Arkansas’s retirement systems. APERS and ATRS have separate trustees, investment policies, and legal restrictions. Read the relevant brief before approaching the system: APERS or ATRS. Ask for the decision process, the applicable constraints, and a written explanation of the steps officials can take. The Treasurer request above concerns Treasury investments.
