How we win
End the support.
Keep the money out.
We organize to end Arkansas’s financial support for the Israeli government through Israel Bonds. Every decision to stop buying or reinvesting can help close that channel of support.
Press the Treasurer.
Ask Arkansas Treasurer John Thurston to publicly commit the Treasury to no new Israel Bonds purchases or reinvestment. Bring the request with others, ask for a written answer, and agree when you will follow up. Our statewide demand also applies to retirement-system investments.
Stop adding money.
No new purchases, renewals, exchanges into new bonds, or reinvestment. Responsible officials should put the commitment in writing and direct their investment staff and managers to carry it out.
Bring existing money home.
As existing bonds mature, bring the principal home and keep it out of Israel Bonds. The issuer describes these bonds as designed to be held to maturity, without a secondary market. That makes preventing the next purchase an immediate point of pressure.
Hold them to it.
A commitment matters when it changes the investment record. Check that maturing money comes back and that new purchases stop. Report actual progress, setbacks, and renewed investment so people know where pressure is needed.
Why maturity dates matter
A deadline for
ending support.
The Treasury’s June 2025 statement lists $10 million due in October 2026 and $10 million in November 2026. These dates identify decisions we can press officials to address before money is committed again.
Michigan’s Break the Bonds campaign reports securing non-reinvestment in November 2025 and checking later records to confirm the retirement system stayed out of Israel Bonds.
Put the demand to Thurston.
